How much you will harvest, plot by plot
From inventory to kilograms: we project yield per plot or block from the size of every plant, the age of the planting and your historical harvests. Every figure comes with its source and its margin of error.
What you get
- Estimated yield per plot, block or fraction, in kilograms and in tonnes per hectare
- In agave: piña weight per plant from the measured diameter, with a field-calibrated curve, and the maturity window
- In trees: estimate per block from the trees counted and their age, calibrated with the harvests you record
- Report per campaign with assumptions, the source of every figure and an explicit margin of error
What we need from you
- The plot inventory (we produce it in the counting service)
- Planting date per plot or block
- Real harvests from previous seasons, if they exist: they are what calibrates the model
- In agave, a few field measurements of piña diameter to fit the curve to your region
How we work
Inventory and age
We start from the per-plant count and the planting date. Without an inventory there is no honest estimate.
Model and calibration
Agave: diameter to weight with a calibrated curve. Trees: age, density and production ramp, adjusted with your historical harvests.
Report and follow-up
Yield per plot with margin of error, updated on every flight to see how the projection moves through the season.
Where it is switched on today In agave it has been in production for years, with maturity prediction and harvest window. In trees the estimate is version 1: delivered with an explicit margin of error, improving as you record harvests.
Frequently asked questions
How accurate is the estimate?
It depends on calibration. In agave, with the curve fitted to your region, the error per plot is on the order of what you would see between two experienced harvesters. In trees, the first season is a reference with a wide margin; with one or two recorded harvests the margin closes.
Can I use it to negotiate contracts or credit?
Yes, and that is why every figure comes with its source and margin: it is a document you can put in front of a buyer or a bank, not a loose number.
Is it updated during the season?
Every new flight updates the inventory and with it the projection. Between flights, satellite monitoring adds vigor and stress context.
